New Mexico State University is the first and only university in the nation to offer on-campus housing specifically designated for student veterans and their families transitioning out of the military and into student life. The Department of Housing & Residential Life has worked in conjunction with the Student Veterans Association of NMSU to offer affordable housing on campus to student veterans attending the university full time. A designated portion of Tom Fort Village in Student Family Housing is set aside to create the student veteran community.

Interested student veterans can apply on-line via the Family Housing application and indicate a qualifying status of veteran. A veteran status identification and state or federally issued picture ID are required with the application. For more information, please contact our office at 575-646-3202
